The “Institution of Geoscientists, Odisha” (IGO)– a forum of former Scientific & Technical Officers of Geological Survey of India, launched at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is a non-profit charitable Institution duly registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Registration No-23952/78 of 2017-18) with effect from 22/01/2018.

The Earth Day- 2025
IGIO celebrated 56th Earth Day on 22nd April 2025 in the GSI Bhubaneswar premises, marking the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.
Webinar Series
IGO organized a number of scientific talks on different Earthsciences topics during 2021-22. The talks were delivered by eminent scientists and were overwhelmingly attended by participants from all over the globe.
