Institution of Geoscientists Odisha celebrated Earth Day 2024 on April 22, 2024 at the GSI premises, Bhubaneswar. Besides the members of IGO, officers of GSI, State Unit, Odisha also actively participated in the event. The occasion was graced by Sri Ajit Pattnaik, IFS (Retd.), Former PCCF Odisha as the Chief Guest and Sri Pankaj Kumar, Dy Director General, GSI, Odisha unit as the Guest of Honour.

Sri Pattnaik, in his talk,  highlighted the importance of waterbodies for the environment. Sri Pankaj Kumar and Sri J K Nanda, President, IGO emphasized on the Earth Day celebration and its impact on the environment.

Dr Manoranjan Mohanty, Secretary, IGO thanked one and all for active participation by the members of IGO and the officers of GSI, Bhubaneswar.
